 Keyboard Shortcuts are a way of speeding up almost everything you do on your PC.

We have put together a few handy shortcuts and tricks that every Windows user should know.  If you believe some of your employees or even friends or family members could use with a refresher lesson, feel free to move this post along!

Before we start, let’s make sure we’re all clear on some basics.  Ctrl stands for Control.  It’s one of the main keys on your Windows PC that you use for keyboard shortcuts.  Alt, Shift and Ctrl don’t actually do anything obvious when you press them individually.  When you press them along with another letter or number, you can make your computer do things a lot faster.

For writing or dealing with document..

The tools below all you to easily copy text, images, quotes, links and documents from one page or file to the other.  Making it a lot quicker than using your mouse to move files or rewrite text.

Ctrl + A = Highlight everything

Shift + Arrow = Highlight specific text

Ctrl + C = Copy

Ctrl + X = Cut

Ctrl + V = Paste
